One Beautiful Thing ~ Two

Mira Gut Beach

When the tide goes out and the sandbar is exposed, you can walk among the sea gulls where there are sand dollars underfoot. Eagles spread their majestic wings and soar overhead. Terns divebomb for crabs. Beautiful shades of blue and a carpet of mussels. Pastel rocks and driftwood.

Peace of mind.

  1. Oh, those pastel rocks.
And sand dollars...I just love them! I have to drive further up the island to see them though...for some reason, they aren't on the beaches in Victoria. Not sandy enough, I don't think.

This beach of yours is such a beautiful place...I know a part of your heart resides there. xo

  3. The only time I see them not broken is when the sandbar is exposed. The photo in the header was such a glorious day, they were everywhere. I wish I could send you some but they would get crushed. I do have the rocks for you.
And thank you, Jaime. I played around with it last night. You're the only one who sees it...but still ;-) I just wish I could figure out how to make my photos as big as yours.

  4. I was making a few slight changes to my blog tonight, and I realised that I really need to update my blogroll....I was about to add you and then I hesitated, wondering if you want me to put your blog there? Would you be ok with that, or would you like to keep your blog more private?

To make the pictures bigger, all you have to do is click on the image once you have dropped it into the compose box, and it will temporarily turn a faded blue colour...underneath is a selection of different sizes..just click on the size you would like...I select extra large. You have to be using the newer version, not the older one. Just go into settings, and scroll down until you see "select post editor" and select "updated editor".

Hope that helps...it's a little hard to explain. :)
